AMD FX-Series (The Bulldozer and Bobcat) will make a huge impact on AMD’s future… most likely in a good direction. The Bulldozer CPU uses less energy and provides more power with AMD’s new design called the Fusion. A standard desktop Zambezi will have eight cores (octa-core) and consume less power then the previous line of AMD Phenom II processors. The FX-Series also has a line of server-grade processors which will have 16-core processors! Yes I said 16 cores. The whole line new line of AMD Processors will be Black Edition by default for easy overclocking.


The concept of a AMD Fusion is difficult for some to understand, the 8 cores are real cores, they are unlike intels virtual cores. The confusion is weather they are CPU’s or APU’s , and there is a simple answer: they are CPU’s . The shear power these 8-core processors will emit will be up to par with Intels new line for almost one-third of the cost.
